    SR Market Manager

     

    Job Description

     

    The SR Market Manager is responsible for the operation and results of multiple markets within a designated area or state. SR Market Managers are responsible for meeting their markets annual business plan objectives including but not limited to operations, internal and external development, business relationships, wowing every internal and external customers and profitability. The SR Market Manager is expected to provide leadership and mentoring to all his direct reports and lead their team effectively and efficiently.

     

    Responsibilities

    Staff

    1. Manage the activities of all locations within the designated markets through active coordination with the individual assigned Market Managers.
    2. Manage and hold all staff accountable for market performance by:
    • Clearly communicate and insure all reporting employees understand the company mission to WOW every customer and be the best
    • Insure staff is following company Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
    • Recognize and document exceptional and substandard performance
    • Work to develop a team that is focused on our mission and that enthusiastically strives to deliver consistent repair service experiences that exceeds customers’ expectations
    1. Insure customer satisfaction by coaching staff and getting involved with customer concerns as required
    2. Recruit, interview and hire new staff as required
    • Train new hires in regards to company policy and procedure
    • Seek out opportunities for continuous education and development for all employees
    1. Promote safe, clean working conditions, review ERS audits and safety records of their markets. Ensure that all personal protective equipment is being used properly and document managers that do not enforce Gerber’s safety policies

     

    External Development

    1. Work with corporate staff to achieve the external growth of the assigned markets

     

    Internal Reporting and Communications

    1. Review all performance reports for their assigned markets
    2. Review market performance against goals with Area Managers and provide coaching to ensure all markets are performing to potential
    3. Conduct operations reviews with Area Managers on a monthly basis
    4. Ensure that all assigned markets are adhering to the WOW operating model
    5. Participate in company operational meetings as requested

     

    External Communications

    1. Promote, develop and act as a liaison with area insurance contacts and other referral points
    2. Contact all claims managers and dealer accounts on a monthly basis (minimum)
    3. Solicit, develop  and report on vendor relationships
    4. Participate in external marketing and team building activities as requested

     

    Performance Measurement Criteria

    Meet or exceed the objectives of the assigned area business plan

     

    Immediate Supervisor

    Regional Vice President or Senior Vice President of Operations

     

    Direct Reports

    Market Managers and associated administrative staff for the assigned markets

     

    Qualifications

    1. Minimum of five years collision repair management experience required
    2. Positive reference from current supervisor required
    3. Ability to read and understand Gerber financial statements required
    4. ICAR Platinum certification preferred
